Czaj Racing are delighted to announce our new partnership with Motorcycle Accessories Australia. MAA like Czaj Racing are family owned and run, they also share the same passion for motorcycles that we do. We look forward to a successful partnership over the 2012 season and beyond. The team is excited to be representing this great business at the National and State level of motorcycle road racing.
The team is also currently getting the engine issues that plagued us at Hidden Valley repaired and we are hopeful to be ready for the next round of the ASBK in Queensland in 3 weeks time. A big thanks goes out to Moe Engines and Mr Cycles for helping us get the bike back up to scratch.

Round 2 of the ASBK from Darwin was unsuccessful for the Czaj Racing team as we were ruled out of proceedings early with a mechanical issue coming away from it with no results. The team worked hard to try and get back into the game but without access to the required parts we had to make the decision to forfeit from the event. We will now be preparing the bike so that we are ready for the next ASBK round in Queensland. There is a bit of time between now and the next event so we hope to get the bike working and give it a shake down run.
Check out the April edition of the Czaj Racing Newsletter for all the latest from round 2 of the ASBK. Czaj Racing is also writing for Motoconcepts so check out there website for a full report of the ASBK weekend.

The next up and coming round will be round 2 of the ASBK held at the Hidden Valley circuit in the Northern Territory. This is a new track for the Czaj Racing team so we will be eager to start getting some laps in early on Thursday practice.
This round wouldn’t have been possible without the financial support Reevu has provided. The team would like to give our biggest thank you to Mark, Graham and Cary from Reevu for giving us this opportunity. We will be pushing hard at NT especially coming off the back of some great results in the Victorian titles.
The Czaj Racing team would also like to welcome our newest sponsor ‘Supersprox’. Supersprox are market leaders in development of drive sprockets for Street, MX, Off Road and ATV’s. The team is very excited to be partnering with this great international company.

After a long summer break we were finally back at the track at our first event of the season, the combined World Superbike (WSBK) and Australian Superbike (ASBK) round held at the famous Phillip Island grand prix circuit. Over the weekend we were gifted with great weather being hot and sunny all the way through.
The Czaj Racing team put in a strong performance over the weekend finishing 11 th overall and smashing our previous best lap time by almost 2 seconds. We worked well to find a good setup that Phil felt comfortable on and this showed in the times.
The weekend was saddened however by the loss of young Oscar McIntyre who tragically passed away in a horror smash on the second lap of the first 600 Superstock races. The Czaj Racing team extends its deepest condolences to the McIntyre family.

We finished the Australian Endurance Championships held at the Phillip Island Circuit with a fantastic result in the Superbike class, claiming 3rd position and a step on the podium. There were so many people that played a role in our success and we are deeply appreciative of it.

We have a bit of a break now till our next outing where we can regroup and plan out our attack on the busy end of season. The MotoGP is closing fast where we will get to enjoy the race from the sidelines though we are still bitterly disappointed that the 600 category was scrapped from the calendar of events.
A big congratulations from the team to Cary from Reevu Australia as the MSX-
Once again we thank all our sponsors for their unbelievable support. Czaj Racing is very proud to have you all supporting us and we definitely make it known on and off the track. It gives us great encouragement and motivation in our endeavour to be at the elite level in motorcycle racing competition.

The MotoGP Australian Support race entry forms are available and it has been advised that the 600 category will not be competing this year. Czaj Racing is discussing whether to run a Yamaha R1 for this event and we hope to have some news real soon.

We are excited to announce our partnership with Bergstein Entertainment. They have jumped onboard to support Czaj Racing for this year’s MotoGP and we look forward to an exciting few months as we head towards this event. We are also delighted to have Fotografico come onboard, offering photography on and off the track this allows Czaj Racing to better promote our sponsors and ourselves to our fans and the public.
We are really excited to also have Phil kitted out in the highly regarded Held Motorcycle gear supplied by our sponsor Held Australia. We have been after Held gear for a long time while they were still only in Europe and America and now are lucky enough to have them in Australia. World leading motorcycle gear critics giving the gear an outstanding review.

Czaj Racing was back at the track in early June taking part in the third round of the Hartwell Club Championships. This was Phil’s first time on the bike since his accident two months ago and the bike was only completely repaired a day before the event so we approached the weekend with idea of using it as a practice session so that both Phil and bike could get a proper shakedown to see where we were at.
The event panned out well for us, Saturday being our very first sessions we ironed out all the issues to give ourselves an opportunity to try something on Sunday. Phil was quick to get on the pace and came away from the weekend with two second places and a first.
-
Phil was involved in a big accident at Eastern Creek Raceway in NSW and was out of the third round of the ASBK due to injury to his left arm and thumb. The recovery is going well thus far for Phil and he will be starting Physio on his left hand and arm in early May. We are all eager to kick things off again and get back onto the track as soon as we can.
We are also delighted to announce Woodcraft as Czaj Racing's newest sponsor and we look forward to representing them and all our sponsors in the Australian Championship.
-
Czaj Racing is delighted about our new partnerships with Reevu Helmets, Held Australia and Winslow who will be supporting our racing efforts over the season.
We would also like to personally thank Kevin Eeles from Fotografico for his contributions to Czaj Racing and for his help over the last few weeks.

Two legs of the Australian Superbike Championship have been run in back to back weeks and we have really enjoyed this new challenge. The level of racing is so strong this year and I am learning a lot every event I compete.
Phillip Island was a fantastic event with a great atmosphere. A 43 rider field was entered into the 600 Superstock category which offered up spectacular racing.
Symmons Plains was the next round. This was a track we hadn't been to before so we started off slow but picked up our pace every session. We reached our goal at the circuit and we now look forward to moving onto Hidden Valley in Darwin (NT).
We are excited to announce a new member in the Czaj Racing team, Peter Bowd. Peter brings invaluable experience to our team as a technical specialist and mentor and is a perfect fit into our small team. We are also delighted about a new partnership with Reevu Helmets who will be supporting our racing efforts over the season.

Czaj Racing competed the Hughie Hoare Memorial race in the combined Supersport/Superstock 600 race finishing with a promising 3rd in Superstock and 6th outright. We also competed the Belray 6hr 250cc support race at Phillip Island for a bit of fun. Thanks go to Fozzie Macrae for loaning us his bike once again.
This year Czaj Racing is really looking forward to the challenges of national competition, working with our sponsors and expanding on our knowledge of racing and the motorcycle road racing community.
